Video marketing is a great way to reach new prospect by promoting yourself. Recently I recorded several videos of myself promoting my services to business owners in my local area.
It is an effective way to get a message out to your audience. In my video, I was promoting my online marketing skills and how I can help any business have an online presence with video marketing, capture page, and a sales funnel.
When you are using videos to deliver a message to your audience it is so effective because they see a visual product. In my case, I was marketing myself to local business owners. So I was the product offering a service.

When you create written content the individual has to read the entire article to understand what you are trying to deliver.
Do you know that most individuals today would rather watch a short video than read an article?
When you do a video you don’t need a lot of time to get the message across that your audience needs your product or service. You are able to deliver your message much faster than having someone read a page.
Not to mentioned, video marketing builds credibility and trust much faster than text because people can see and hear your voice. Therefore, it makes your audience feel more comfortable and confident to do business with you.
There is something about hearing and seeing someone that builds a greater sense of trust that it is hard to do with text. It is so effective when your audience can hear from you.

Have you seen how many videos get uploaded to YouTube? As I’m writing this comment. There are at least 100+ hours that were uploaded on YouTube. So it’s important to utilize video marketing as way to communicate.

I think how to use video today is really behind the scenes , show your passions, conversations, what you do outside of business, the fun you have.. Reality Video thats not just you sitting and talking but engaging in your passions and sharing brings a response and connection with viewers.

I know there are people who like reading. However, videos pull more views than text. Why not leverage of video and create a business plan to generate more leads. That is what I did. I took my skills and now offering it to local business owners to generate more online business. Very powerful!

I am a reader as well; I always feel like I get to the point faster if I read it myself:).
However, I know that most people prefer video.
Here’s another great reason to do video marketing: Getting on the first page of Google with a video virtually overnight is a reality – I’ve done it even before I had a website and with as close to zero experience with video marketing as one could have.

I prefer to read most of the time. But video is very powerful and gets a better response much of the time. You’re right, it builds a connection that the written word would take MUCH longer to build.

Josh there will be those that prefer reading and those that prefer video so the solution is to provide both in ones content mix. I too prefer reading but I also do watch videos of course.
I think conveying one’s personality using the written word is far more challenging whereas on video you can be who you are and your personality will shine through very easily.

Seems like most people here would prefer to read, and so would I, but that’s because I’m a writer.
But yes, videos really can bring a new dynamic to your marketing. The little video intro I have on my blog has helped me generate a lot more leads than if it wasn’t there. Videos don’t need to be long, 2min is ideal, and can take much less time to produce than writing an article.

Hi Josh! You are right, I know from the start- video marketing is very powerful , creating great results much faster than other strategies.. I haven’t started with it yet (my bad) but I’ll have to asap.. At least I dont have problems with being in front of camera, just couldn’t manage time with my primary business.. But yeah, this technique attract more people and build relationship much faster..
