I know about this, but to tell you the truth I haven’t thought that the percent of recruiting companies which browse through social networks is so high!!!!! It was really a very big surprise for me! Of course, pages in social networks can influence on their opinion, but so much…. I will take this information into consideration, many thanks to you!!

Hi Jeanine,

I was very surprise by that number as well. It goes to show that if someone is looking for employment they better clean up their online presence.

Post only the most high quality stuff. As a rule, never publish stuff you don’t feel comfortable with everybody seeing, because everybody can see it ;)

Wise words Josh, thanks for sharing!

It’s not too surprising when you think about it. When I am considering connecting with someone on LinkedIn, Twitter, and even Facebook I always look at what they say before connecting and often I remove someone from my Facebook feed if they are posting inappropriate content (personal is ok, but not talking about drinking, sex, etc). I have no problem if people want to post about those things, but I don’t want it on my feed.

Thanks for the good info. I created a blog post on how to get yourself ranked high in LinkIn search on my blog- it might also help those looking for a job because the method really works – I helped several people use it successfully.

Hi Gwynne,

Thanks for stopping by! It is so vital that individuals clean up there profiles and wall postings when they are searching and applying for jobs. It amazes me what I see on social wall feed.

Have a great day…
Josh
