Here is a question that comes up frequently…”How do I recruit people into my network marketing business?” The recruiting process can be tough if you don’t know the basics. Most network marketers drop the ball in the recruitment phase of their business because they don’t know who and how to start.

I’m going to share with you 5 simple secrets for network marketing recruiting.
1. Stop focusing so much on yourself: I want you to understand that this is probably the most important step or paradigm shift you’ll have to make. This is a rookie mistake, you are so much focus that you want this person in your business and guess what…It Shows! Put yourself in their shoes and find out what is it that they are looking for.
2. Bond and Build rapport: Communicate with your prospects the way they would prefer to be communicated. It can be visual or auditory. Match their posture, body movements, volume, rate of speech, and tone.
3. What station are you listening too: Don’t ignore what I’m about to say. People are interested in themselves. Therefore you need to play the station WIFM (what’s in it for me). People hate to be sold but they like to buy. Therefore, show them how they are going to benefit by addressing their need or pain.
4. Find their pain or their motivation: People will join your network marketing business only after you address their unfulfilled needs and wants. The only way to accomplish this is by asking open-ended questions. Find out are the prospect looking for extra income, entrepreneurship, more time with family, or just wants financial freedom.
5. Listen to your prospect: You want to do 80% listening and 20% talking. I see to often when individuals are talking to a prospect they get so excited they begin talking way too much. Talking to much will hurt you in the long run.
Learning these simple techniques for your network marketing recruiting process will allow you to be less stressful and have fun when talking to prospects. My post on personality types will help you tremendously in the recruiting process.
