Simple Seo
There is alot you can gain from a search engine optimized blog or website. Yes, there are a great number of web designers that can create a great layout with fantastic design and still be able to get there sites rank high on search engines. The only way they accomplish it is by practicing simple seo techniques.
There are some blogs that receive alot of traffic due to great seo practices. This allows the blog to receive organic traffic which means, free traffic from individuals that were typing a keyword in the search box.
To accomplish a blog to be searched by search engines is not rocket science. It’s about knowing what you are trying to accomplish and what keywords you are trying to target. Bottom line it falls into the coding of the site or blog if it is properly coded with proper HTML tags and using today’s coding practice.
The search engines will be able to read the code and understand what the blog or site is about. That is why creating a blog with a good theme template is powerful. The coding is already done for you. You don’t have to create a site from scratch. I know some basic coding but not enough to create a whole site based on code. I’m not going to bore you with what coding to look for or throw out there coding lingo. However, I’m going to show the minimal simple seo to get your blog shown for specific keywords.
Here we go…let’s start of with the first element search engine looks at…Title tag. This is what provides the engines a title for the page. This title is shown on the top blue section of your browser. It also provides the title for the page when saving it under favorites. It is good to use a keyword for your title. Try not to use a company name unless that is your target keyword.
Now, one of the most important element for a simple seo technique is the heading of your post also know as the h1 tag. You see it is important because every post of your blog needs to have a header. The reason being, how are search engines are going to know what the post is about. This is where you want to start your seo with the keyword that you are targeting. Now, your goal is to use a compelling title to grab your readers attention while using the keyword.
At first it will take you sometime to get use to writing good headlines for your post. After a while it will become second nature. You will be able to spit out headlines with your keyword in your sleep. Try to use the keyword in the beginning of the headline if possible. Now, if you can’t come up with a good attention grabber headline with your keyword. It is best to create a copywriting title because it will still draw readers attention…more readers, more traffic, which turns into more leads.
Within the content of your article make sure you use the targeting keyword. You don’t want to slam the keyword all over the post and make look like you are deliberately trying to spam the search engine. Use it in a way that it is transitional through your post.
Now, these are very simple seo techniques that you can apply within your blog immediately. The reason why I love blogs is because I don’t have to manually go into the code and type my title or headlines. It is all done within the back-end dashboard of the blog platform I use.
By doing a little tweaking to your title, header, and content you will be able to start seeing your post in the search engines for the targeting keywords. There are more techniques that can be apply. I just want to keep it simple and easy to start off with. Now have fun optimizing your blog or site.
