3 Link Building Strategies To Supercharge Your Network Marketing Blog…

by Josh Garcia on March 2, 2010

Link Building

As an internet network marketer, the goal is to generate leads.

There are various ways of accomplishing this task. With your blog you want to strive to get good rankings on the search engines.

Many a times people will go on the wrong path to quickly achieve the rankings, but they end up either being on the search engines but on pages where nobody is visiting. The key here is not about being crawled but being indexed and showing up on a good position in the search engine.

I read this somewhere, if content is the king then links are what makes the king sit on his kingdom.

This is a fact you can’t ignore. Search engines do change their algorithms to promote more relevant results but quality inbound links always hold their importance.

The higher the quality of inbound links to your blog, more authority the link passes on to your blog. Blogs that have been online for many years attract a substantial amount of quality links provided they are promoted properly. But, what about the brand new blogs? What strategy should they follow in order to get the links once they go online?

Here are 3 link building strategies that will put a new blog on the right path:

1. Links from Social Media Sites – This is the fastest way to generate inbound links and generate great traffic. There are several social media sites available that you can take advantage of. At the bottom of the post you find a button “Bookmark & Share” there you’ll see several of the social media sites. Please click the button and share this article.

2. Blogs – Search for other blogs with the related content and establish a form of communication with them. Simplest way to communicate is by commenting on their blog. When people start noticing you and see you as an expert, you will automatically start getting quality links.

3. Article writing – Many people underestimate this strategy and consider it as a time waster but they are terribly mistaken. Write articles on a subject and submit them to reputable article submission sites. These sites in turn, publish your articles on various other resources with a link to your site intact. This way you can earn backlinks at absolutely zero cost.

There are other strategies to make the new blog achieve rankings but the strategies mentioned above will start to get momentum and build ranking.

Before you go, go ahead and share this with you friends on Twitter & Facebook by pressing the 2 little buttons on the top right (blue & green button) :)

While you’re at it, love to connect with you on facebook & twitter

Hey Josh,
Really good link building advice. Anyone of the ways you mentioned can get someone a decent amount of traffic, but all of them together are very powerful. As an SEO guy myself, links are king, especially from social media with the way Oogle’s algorithms are designed right now.

Hi Eric,

It’s great to see you. I know you are good with SEO tactics. Anyone who implements just these three to start off with, will always have power with the search engines.

Hi Josh,

I love that phrase, “if content is the king then links are what makes the king sit on his kingdom.”

Some good tactics you’ve presented here for SEO! To increase the “indexing” aspect of my blog, I do rely on the plugin All in One SEO for WordPress blogs.

From this I focus on my key “keywords”, as long as they fit. If they don’t, they are not even considered.

Have a great day,
Jerome Ratliff

I love how you always have 3 action steps to take.

Youtube’s a great way to get some links, too.

Backlinks are definitely a must to get, the more the merrier.

Also think of audience. You can place an ad in-front of your targeted audience about your latest blog post. Not only will you have a backlink but if done correctly you can drive masses to your blog by peaking their interest.

Wow! How do you come up with all this great information every day, Josh? You are amazing!!

I’m still learning all this SEO stuff. My husband reminded me lately that including images in your posts and having an alt or image description also helps ranking higher in Search Engines.

Have a fantastic day!

Hi Ilka,

It’s great to know that you value this information. Learning SEO is key along with building links. Just like I mentioned SEO is a must but as soon as the search engine change their algorithm creates a little hiccup. Search engines can’t mess around with link structure.

You have a smart husband. Thanks for sharing that tip with us.

Enjoy your evening,
Josh
