Do You Want To Know The Makings Of a Millionaire Leader?

by Josh Garcia on February 26, 2010

Network Marketing Leadership

Here is a questions that pops up often, How can I build a Network Marketing team?

I always answer…being a leader.

Building a team begins with leadership. Do you realize that people aren’t born leaders, they are developed over time. I’m not sure if you caught that…developed over time. I know you heard this before, Leaders are readers and students of the business.

Here is a cool fact…the average millionaire reads one book per month? If you want to become a master in the network marketing industry read one book a month for one year. Can you imagine what will happen to you. What happens when you keep stretching a rubber band. It will never return to it’s original state. Well, the mind operates the same.

Leaders lead each and every day. They are masters of recognition and blaze the way for others to follow and succeed. They face challenges head on, handle confrontation, and never lose their vision. It’s okay to lose focus. We all have done it. But never ever lose your vision.

So how do you become a leader? You speak it! Visualize it! Act like it! Commit to personal development. Your business growth will be a direct reflection of your personal growth.

Develop your leadership skills. Learn to communicate effectively and always remember, it’s not about you. It’s about your prospects and your team members.

Commit to your leaders. Let them know you are committed to their success. Be real, be authentic and be passionate. Learn as much about them as possible. Find out about their family, their concerns, their strengths and weaknesses, their goals, their wants and their commitment.

Remember, partnership goes both way. Make sure they are committed to their success. And let them know you are committed also. Work with those that are working the business and not just talking a game. Help your leaders develop a business plan and action plan.

Be available to your team. Don’t ignore their phone calls. Be a constant source of information. Always take the higher road and never complain in front of someone on your team.

Make a commitment to yourself and to your team. And never, ever quit!

Hey Josh,

You made some really great points here. To be a leader, you’re gonna have to BE a leader. That means no more complaining, or blaming. Get your head right and make it happen. If you tell your mind you can do it, it will act accordingly.

I always say, “If you don’t take the time to learn anything, you don’t deserve the right to know anything”.

Hi Chris,

Yes indeed, it all starts in the mind! When you get the head right everything starts lining up.

Have a great weekend…

Josh

Great, great post. You made so many good points I don’t think there are many left.

What I would add is this, leaders had a firm belief in their abilities and what they can achieve with them. They are also grateful for what they have, which helps shapes the vision of what they truly want.

Alphas all the way.

Hey Josh,

I remember a few months back I wrote what it means to be a leader to my subscribers and here’s what I shared. (Hope you enjoy it)…

+ A leader walks the talk
+ A leader is enthusiastic about life and their business
+ A leader is confident
+ A leader is able to break through the barriers of uncertainty
+ A leader is calm and steadfast, to be able to ride through the storm
+ A leader is decisive
+ A leader is committed to excellence

There are the seven I LIVE by.
Talk to you later,

Jerome Ratliff

Hi Josh,
This is what it’s all about — preach it, brotha!

Leaders are also willing to make unpopular decisions for the good of the group and to stand up to adversity.

Have a great weekend,
Derek

Josh,
A lot of people underestimate the power of continuing education. The people that are very successful are always learning and adapting.

Good Post,

Josh, I couldn’t agree more. There is a great quote by Brendan Francis that goes, “If you greatly desire something, have the guts to stake everything on obtaining it.”. I think leaders have to embody this and be prepared to stand up and stand out!
