Are You Making These 3 Mistakes In Your Network Marketing Business

Are you a boss? Or are you a leader for your organization. This is a question most individuals tend to forget when building a network marketing business. As you know most network marketers don’t have any type of formal training in leadership.

The only training they are exposed to is the training they have as an employee. This type of training usually falls under boss/employee leadership. If you adopt this into your network marketing organization before you will know it. You will not have anyone following you. This is not a good place to be.

A good leader knows how to motivate and inspire people. They seem to know how to bring out the best in others. We have all known someone that brought the best out of us. It could be someone that is currently in our lives or has been in the past. That person could be a teacher, mentor, or family member. I have several mentors in my life that I follow to help me get the best out of my life and in return I’m able to be an example for my organization.

On the other hand someone who tries to inspired people with a boss mentality. Their so called pep talks end up becoming lectures, and though they may intend to inspire, they tend to intimidate people. Flat out…this doesn’t work! We all hate being lectured. I had my share when growing up.

I’m going to share 3 Reasons why new leaders often get a bad start…

Some leaders replicate the poor leadership habits of others. This is the most common mistake leaders make at the beginning. The way to correct this is by simply reading books on leadership. What the books will do to you is educate you what a good leader habits are. Therefore you’ll be able to apply them within your network marketing organization immediately.
Some lead the way they were led. Again, by reading books on leadership you’ll learn some positive skills and attitudes that can overcome the mistake. Not only will you be able to apply it into your business. People will want to follow you because you are helping them succeed in their life.
Some leaders lack good models and mentoring. You have to understand that no-one is born with leadership skills. This is taught by real life examples of good leaders. By being an example of your mentors you will have a successful network marketing business.

Top leaders are not born with it.

Take a look at your network marketing business. The top dog leaders are really not born with the leadership skills. They are learned by trial and error. Poor leadership habits and practices can create a new generation of poor leaders. Or create enough discomfort that the leaders figures out how to do it right.

Now if you are reading this I know you were called to lead and not boss people around. You were called to succeed and not fail.
