The secret for this to work you need to be visiting sites that provide content and articles that your customers are visiting. Yup! It’s that simple! 
The beauty of using backlinks this way it allows you target a group of people or customers. Do know that by using backlinks are very important for you to learn if you want to increase the amount of your business traffic.
When you increase traffic it means an increase in sales, opt-ins, and loyal readers.
When you build backlinks, it becomes easier to generate organic traffic. Now, don’t forget since you are going to be driving traffic to your blog or site. Make sure you have valuable content available for them since this is targeted traffic that you’ll be generating.

There are really good blogs and websites out there that we don’t even know about because they are not being marketed the right way.
People don’t understand why they are not getting traffic to their site and Josh, this post covered all they need to know about doing it.
If I could add any value to this, it would be to make sure you have Google Analytics set up so you can track exactly where your traffic is coming from once you start building those backlinks.
Since I am able to leave my blog site in comments it does generate traffic.(According to GA, I receive a nice amount of traffic from here,
)

Having GA installed is a must. If you are truly using your site or blog to generate leads, opt-ins, or sales. You need to know where is the traffic coming from. Sometimes this information also lets you know where not to focus and where to focus more of your time.

Understanding backlinks means understanding a fundamental principle of traffic generation. The more relevant links coming into your site the better.
I like to think of it as leaving your “calling card” somewhere so that others who you want to find you can do so. It makes sense then to think carefully where you are leaving those “calling cards”.

Backlinks are key! I agree with you, that leaving comments and providing solid, targeted content in different areas is a very good strategy. I have a backlink plan that I go through almost every day, slowly building up my readership at a consistant pace.
If you are going to leave comments on people’s blogs however, you must make sure that you are leaving worthwhile comments. When people just say “great post” they are losing out on valuable click-throughs as well as just links. You need to have traffic from as many sources as possible, becuase the web will dry up your single-sourced traffic overnight if you are not careful.

I’m just getting into generating backlinks. Up until recently, I thought the only way to get your name into search engines was by paying for it. I’m glad to see there are other, cheaper ways to do it for those of us that are just getting started.

PPC is great to generate immediate traffic…Right Now! If you have a budget this is the prefer way to get started. However, to generate long term organic traffic. This is a simple plan to implement. It works!

Can’t argue with free traffic. But just because it’s free traffic it doesn’t mean that people are not require to do any work. You’ll do more work in generating Free traffic, than in PPC traffic. But again, it’s a long-term strategy.

I’m glad you stepped up and asked that question. That is one easy way to generate a backlink by commenting on other blogs. You’ll hear from older post that the “No-Follow” attribute takes play. But the truth is the Big G ignores that. When you come across a forum go ahead and participate. Just remember to put a link to your blog when you are signing off. Visit blogs and sites where your target audience is hanging out and participate. Hope this helps out.

Acquiring back links is one of my priorities now, although I have trouble getting back links through forum because it needs time to allow ones link to be placed. However, one of my most effective way of getting back links is through guest posting.

Great tips for generating backlinks. People could spend 30 minutes to an hour daily posting on forums or other blog sites and be able to develop a ton of backlinks to their blog home. Just say you can get to 20 websites daily in 30 minutes a day. 20 links a day and 5 days per week times 52 weeks = 5200 backlinks in a year, which is more than enough to rank for most anything everyone on here would need.

I make it a habit to visit several sites each day via comments on various blogs, read a few articles and comment if it seems worth the time and effort. That’s how I got here. Saw Josh’s comment on another blog, decided I wanted to read more from him and stopped in.
Guess I just wanted to verify how well backlinks via commenting works for generating traffic.
