Business owners not taking the time to study online marketing skills.
I do know that most people don’t have any form of marketing skills and I’ll say that is OK.
The main reason why I’ll say it’s OK…I know nobody took the time to teach you how to market online. Most methods of marketing being used are old school marketing techniques.
Don’t miss understand me…old school methods of marketing still works today. However, you are missing a lot more opportunities in today’s world by not utilizing the internet.
The most powerful way to market online
What I’m going to talk about is why this form of marketing is ruling the internet right now. When you develop an attraction marketing system in today’s world of internet you pretty much can say you own your target market. If done properly!
With this marketing system it allows you to market the most important service or product and that is YOU.
Let me share with you 3 components that are require to use attraction marketing system.
1) Becoming the leader. The first element you need to know when building an attraction marketing system is that people today are hungry to find leaders in their fields. People are searching for answers so someone can answer them. Why not be YOU!
2) Be a solution solver. Once you know the pain that your target market is having. All you have to do is provide the solution for your audience. This is going to allow you be in a leader position. It doesn’t matter what kind of business you are in. It works for every business that is available today.
3) The beginning of relationship building. When you implement an attraction marketing system your goal is to have a converting blog or site. The most common method is by having an opt-in form to collect your prospects name, email address, and phone number.
The best way to collect your prospect information is by offering something in value that your prospects are looking for. The most common are eBooks, video series, or audio series.
By taking these small steps toward creating an online presence with an attraction marketing system you’ll be able to see the changes in your business.

Hi Josh,
Business is much different online than it is without the internet. I just think about how many people I can reach daily using the ‘old school’ method, and then how many I can reach daily using the internet. No contest.
Also, it’s great to get online and be able to help people, even if they are not in your primary company. The internet is definitely the way to go. This doesn’t mean you can’t mix old school methods with it, if you like them….

I completely agree with all of these 3 major components. I am especially noticing marketers lack for #3 in particular. Words cannot emphasize how important this last one is.
It’s like getting ready to go camping. You pack all of your camping gear and food, then you just decide to not go. It’s a waste! How does anyone expect to have fun camping if they don’t take what they’ve done and go forward with it?
Plan, do, review is how we do it.

People are looking solutions for their problems rather than what you are marketing. As perry marshall says. “People who bought the drill wanted a hole and not the drill” . So if you want to sell drills start talking about the holes and eventually you may sell your drill as well. I think that it is really important never to forget the basics of marketing. They are universal no matter what medium you are using. Cure a pain for a hungry market and deliver it to them on a silver platter. There is a huge lure of the internet, because on the surface it appears to be FREE, but there is a time factor that people don’t recognize. Go where your customers are and the money will follow.

This is definitely a good post. I would like to touch on the first point “becoming a leader”. This is often the toughest challenge for most people as they don’t realize that they need an attitude adjustment. But after they figure that out, it’s like magic happens.
