I bet you heard it before, if you want to become successful in whatever venture you do, you need to acquire the right attitude and determination. This is also true with being an entrepreneur in the network marketing arena.
What is it to be an entrepreneur?
What entrepreneurial qualities do you need to have to be a successful business owner in network marketing? Are they really important at all? They are only important if you want to succeed. If you don’t carry them, you will have lower chances in being a success. Great news that most characteristics are learnable.
3 characteristics that are a must to follow -
- Being a risk taker – this is a top characteristic of being an entrepreneur. The ability and willingness to take risk and make decisions. An entrepreneur should know how to handle the risk by predicting measured and calculated risk. If you’re not willing to take any risk, then you will not succeed as a business person.
- Leadership – is a characteristic that is often hard to find among individuals. Not many individuals have the guts to take the lead, you must be a leader. Some say that this is a born characteristic while others say that if you don’t possess it, leadership can be learned.
- Determination – Anyone can call himself an entrepreneur, or start his own business, but success requires knowledge, hard work, and determination. He or she must be willing to accommodate the desire goal by dedicating themselves to hard work. The personality of an entrepreneur expresses an intense desire to achieve
The 3 characteristics listed above are the common characteristics found in entrepreneurs that succeed in network marketing. Even when a person lacks one or more of the characteristics listed above, they could still succeed if there are other factors working in their favor.
The great news is that anyone with the right desire and commitment can achieve success in network marketing. Successful entrepreneurship is a discipline, not a talent.
If you already contain these characteristics of an entrepreneur. All you need to do now is apply them to your business and watch it flourish.

You spelled it out perfectly, Risk taker. leadership and determination – The perfect recipe!
Thanks for the post Josh.
Hi Wayne,
I like short recipes. It leaves no room for error!
Have a great day…
Josh
Josh,
I can definitely say that I have those three qualities. I am some times accused of being a little to aggressive. Then again, I love going to the casinos. I know that taking risks has helped me a lot, but sometimes it can bite you. You just have to be prepared for the consequences before hand and understand the probabilities. To many people get into business, not just this one either, and want to play everything safe and are not willing to take any risks. These people are better off staying in a 9-5 because they will never achieve what they want without a certain amount of risk. Man, this post really got me thinking about some of the risks I’ve taken in my construction business. They were no problem when the market was booming, but damn I wish I had a crystal ball for some of the stuff we did. The risk vs. reward part is what holds lots of people back from ever taking chances and will keep them from ever finding the success they desire.
thanks,
Eric
P.S. I almost think you have to be a gambler (not necessarily like me) to get er done in this business. Keep doing the same things everyone else is doing and you will suffer the fate of the 97%.
Hi Eric,
Thanks for stopping by! It’s great to hear that you have all 3 qualities. That means that you are on the way to success.
I bet you learned a lot from running your construction business. This information is so valuable. Now, it’s time to apply what you learned yesterday, do some adjustments, and watch it grow!
Have a great day…
Josh
Josh, I enjoyed reading your post! You are on the money with the three characteristics of entrepreneurs.
I’m not sure about people learning to be leaders. I used to be a trainer in the training department where I used to work, and could tell those who were natural leaders and those who were followers. Some followers may be able to learn to be leaders, but there are those who will just always be followers because they don’t have the guts or determination to change their ways.
Again, enjoyed your article…keep up the great work!
Twila
Hi Twila,
What an awesome comment you left! We all can learn more just from the comments…
Not everyone can be a leader. But for those who inspire to be one…Will Be One! It’s sad but true…
Have a great day…
Josh
Hey Josh,
Great post, I especially like the part about determination. I am a firm believer that if you are determined enough, you will succeed.
Without determination, the only way to be successful is if it falls in your lap. And that don’t happen often.
Hi Chris,
Without the determination you’ll stay at the starting line. When the gun goes off…
Have a great day…
Josh
Hi Josh,
I’ve always felt that the biggest risk you can take is to not take one at all.
Thanks for the great post!
Sincerely,
Derek
Hi Derek,
Great to see you!
When you listen to mega successful individuals. They all have one thing in common…Risk Takers!
