Generating web traffic to your blog or site is a task at the beginning until you build the momentum. By far one of my favorite way to generate traffic is with article marketing. By writing articles it is a great way to promote services, products, blogs, or websites. All you have to do is be great at promoting yourself through writing great content.
Article marketing allows you to become an authoritative or expert in your niche. Not only are you establishing trust with your readers it also builds confidence to do business with you.
5 Reasons Why You Can’t Ignore Article Marketing…
Cost: This is the cheapest way to generate traffic since it is FREE. What stops most individuals from writing articles is not knowing what to write about. Right now as you are reading this, I bet you can teach me something that you are an expert at. That is the simplest way to start writing. When you start submitting your articles to directories it will create links back to your blog or site. As your links starts increasing now you are saying to search engines this site or blog has authority over other sites. It will increase your search engine ranking (SEO tactic!)
Creates a viral effect: As you are submitting your articles to directories you can place a resource box at the end of your article. What this will allow you to put 1 or 2 links pointing to your blog or sales page. Your articles will be publish by other blogs or websites therefore becomes viral. This will create more back links to you and it establishes you as the expert. This is a real win/win situation.
Content with keyword: Before you write your article know what keywords you want to focus on. Remember the purpose is to write great content at the same time marketing with your articles. You don’t want to write an article and use that keyword over and over. It will show that you are trying spam a specific keyword. Do a keyword search before writing at Google Keyword Tool. Use different variations of the keyword. Since your article is going to be on the internet it will be wise to switch up your keywords for the search engines. This approach will allow you dominate your niche in search engines.
Long term Traffic: Get in the habit of submitting at least 2-8 articles a month. You don’t want to submit a whole bunch of articles all at once because article marketing won’t deliver huge traffic overnight. It will deliver some traffic overnight. Online article marketing takes about 3-4 months to generate a good constant flow of traffic if you have a brand new blog or website. Now in this process what is happening your articles are being read by new readers and some will use it in their blog or website. This will create more back links for the search engines.
Submitting articles is FREE: Before I started submitting articles what was stopping me was the fear of costing me money for submissions. Most article directories are free. There are hundreds of directories and it can be daunting figuring out which ones to use. Here are three of the most popular.
There are also niche article directories that will allow you target your audience. There you have it why article marketing is a good way to get free marketing online. Of all the ways to generate free leads for your business article marketing is likely the most beneficial way without breaking the bank.
