As the Internet continues to grow so does the number of network marketers who come online to market their business. Marketing on the Internet is very different from hotel meetings, cold calling, and doing things of that nature like most network marketers have been taught.

First off you have to have the right mindset. There is a lot of hype out there so you have to have the proper mindset if you want to continue to grow your business online. To develop that mindset you should start by reading ‘Magnetic Sponsoring.’

You must focus, as you begin to promote on the Internet you’re going to notice a lot of different opportunities and products. In my opinion these are just too many distractions that can get you side tracked. Basically you won’t be able to succeed if you continue to get involved with so many things at the same time. You must learn to stick with one thing to master and remain completely focused.

My last network marketing recruiting tip would be to continue to come up with different marketing techniques. You have to become a master at marketing on the Internet. It’s going to take time and energy but you’re going to see what works and what doesn’t. This is the only way that you will be able to teach others to do the same. It can seem difficult at first simply because most network marketers have not been trained to do so. A great place to start learning internet marketing if you don’t know where to start is with ‘MLM Traffic Formula.’

I believe is a fundamental skill that you should learn and with given time you will.

Hello there, hope you had a wonderful holiday weekend. I got to eat a lot of food with family and friends. Got couple of naps after eating. Most enjoyable time was with family that I don’t get to spend time with since they live in another country.

As I was spending time with family don’t think I wasn’t thinking about business.

No, I didn’t recruit my family members. However, being around a lot of family did remind me of how simple it is to network with people. Whenever you get to be around people it is important that you know the basics of networking. You don’t want to push your idea or business onto them.

5 Basic Commonly Made Mistakes When Networking – By Josh Garcia

1. Too Aggressive: People resist and feel uncomfortable around someone that has a forceful sales approach and is trying hard to sell you on their products or services. By putting someone on the spot with a “buy or else” attitude will only hurt your chances of getting a future business partner. When you approach someone, only give them enough information that piques their interests. Avoid going into your sales pitch, it’s not the right time or place for that. Don’t assume they need your brochure or several of your business cards. Only give that if requested.

2. Talking too much: On occasion, you’ll meet someone that will approach you only to be the one doing all the talking. They don’t stop chatting or even come up for air! They interrupt the other person, cut them off or talk over them and everyone else. You should be talking 20% and listening the other 80% of the time. Be the one to ask questions and engage in a two-way conversation.

3. Come unprepared: showing up late, seem disorganized, don’t have business card, dressed unprofessionally, fumble through their introduction, etc. Set up a checklist of what you need before you leave. First impressions are very important and coming unprepared will have a negative impact. They might assume you’ll arrive late for them, forget something of theirs, and be unreliable for their business.

4. Not paying attention: Some people scan a room looking for a bullseye or target they’re after. They don’t hear what is being said and seem uninterested and distant. They don’t focus on the conversation or the other person. Unfortunately, if you don’t seem interested in them, they won’t be interested in you!

5. Taking phone calls: Although business calls are very important, you shouldn’t take calls while talking with someone. Sending calls to voicemail does a great job at taking messages for you that you can immediately follow up on when you leave.  Unless it’s really an emergency, talking on your phone can be perceived as rude and disrespectful.

These are simple networking mistake someone can make if not aware of it. Just be positive and enjoyable to attract people to you.

Network Marketing Recruiting Tips

Recruiting prospects for your network marketing business can be a challenge. Especially if you don’t have the right mindset. Typically network marketers get frustrated when they have spoken to everyone on their list or warm market. Then it’s what do I do now? What I’m going to go over, it might help you out only if you take action. Always with a little help can’t go wrong if you recruit people into your network marketing business.

You see…the goal is to have stream of prospect wanting what you have to offer. Right now the problem most network marketers are having is they don’t have enough leads to talk too. Knowing how to market will allow you to be able to recruit more prospects into your team.

A great place to start is to know who are the right people for my team or network marketing business. Let’s examine this a little bit closer what I mean by the right people. Are you going to target stay at home moms, Realtor, other network marketers, accountants, this list can go long. Know what you are looking for. Are the target market looking for your products or the use of your knowledge to make additional income.

Who is your target market?

This is called knowing your target market. By knowing your target market you can market to them via the internet. If you are reading this there is a good chance that you are in a network marketing business looking for ways to recruit other people. This post is to target individuals already in network marketing business that are looking for a solution for their problems…How to recruit more people?

Once you are able to help people overcome their challenge, you will be able to add dozens of prospects to your team. The goal is to market your expertise and people will find you.

Some of the objections that you get is based around skepticism or price. Guess what…those are the easiest to overcome. If someone wants to learn how to market online to generate leads and you know how to accomplish this and the prospect is not a tire kicker. The prospect will pay for your knowledge or join your team. Sometimes you will have people asking if you have made money or if your business is a scam, but like I said, those questions about skepticism or dollar amount are the easiest to overcome.

First, why most network marketers Fail?

It is a very important issue and needs to be address that the actual reason most people won’t succeed in owning a network marketing business is simple. Most people who enter network marketing are not born salesmen, traders or recruiters.

Thus, when you need these skills to sell products and sponsor new distributors to earn money and not have the right skills, it is clear that the failure rate increases. The great news…this can be taught!

Normally, when the business owner struggles in the new network marketing business and finds it difficult to sell the product or sponsor new members they do one of two things. They leave and continue working at their jobs or continue to lose money and follow the same advice that their sponsor is telling them who has no clue.

How marketing should be

NEVER BUY LEADS! If you intend to bring the serious and motivated people to help build your team you must learn to market and generate your own leads. The first step before spending money on programs or gadgets is to educate yourself first on attraction marketing. This is done using the internet and positioning yourself to be found by people looking for what you have to offer.

The nightmare of recruitment

When it comes to network marketing recruiting most people fear or want to prevent rejection. The problem lies not in the fear of the Networker, but the advice given by their sponsor and other members of the organization. Usually, the advice given is to cold calls and buy leads. Most of the people from lead generating companies have already been contacted and are simply not opportunity lead seekers and not necessarily the most qualified anyway.

The goal in recruitment is to be in a position of control. So when you are marketing yourself and positioning yourself as a leader, the prospects that you speak to will already be half sold on you. Reason is because they have found you while looking for a solution for their pain. All you have to do is filter them out if you want to work with them. This puts you in the driver seat.

So now the ball is in your court. When you talk to the prospect you are in absolute control. Most likely they found you because they where looking for a solution. You are now in a position to help them out. Your attitude is different because you are in the position of helping. You dictate the tone of the conversation. Remember that you are interviewing the prospect if you want to work with them in your company.

It would be like a job interview you’ve been in the past. The interviewer asks questions and wants to see if you are a good fit for the company. That is why it is called attraction marketing, only a few network marketers know how to use it.

The big problem of recruitment

I’ve even seen individuals with prospects on the phone and still have had little success. The reason being most marketers are doing what others are doing…Not taking control of the phone call. Normally, most marketers fail in recruitment because they screw up on the phone. They need to lead by asking questions, listening, and letting the prospect do the talking.

You have to look at this from a psychological approach. You see, people who join network marketing, don’t do it to be cool with their associates, but rather to have someone who can help them succeed. When you understand this approach you’ll be able to talk with your prospects and get in position of a leader. However, don’t let fear of rejection frighten you but understand there will always be people who simply do not join you or your company.

Making things easier with the internet

Marketing and Lead Generation Online allows you to be found by those who are looking for your solution. So most of the time when talking to a prospect they are already screened and sold on you. Heck, sometimes you may even be able to get sign-ups without having to talk to a person.

Some keys to remember:

1. Never buy leads
2. Build your own lead generation
3. You’re in control
4. Lead with value
5. Show your potential customers and prospects how you can help
6. Never drive with your company, compensation plan, the founders or product.
7. Never go into needy mode
8. Be prepared to let some people go on the phone
9. Be a leader
10. Always invest in yourself

Here is a question that comes up frequently…”How do I recruit people into my network marketing business?” The recruiting process can be tough if you don’t know the basics. Most network marketers drop the ball in the recruitment phase of their business because they don’t know who and how to start.

Network Marketing Recruiting…

I’m going to share with you 5 simple secrets for network marketing recruiting.

1. Stop focusing so much on yourself: I want you to understand that this is probably the most important step or paradigm shift you’ll have to make. This is a rookie mistake, you are so much focus that you want this person in your business and guess what…It Shows! Put yourself in their shoes and find out what is it that they are looking for.

2. Bond and Build rapport: Communicate with your prospects the way they would prefer to be communicated. It can be visual or auditory. Match their posture, body movements, volume, rate of speech, and tone.

3. What station are you listening too: Don’t ignore what I’m about to say. People are interested in themselves. Therefore you need to play the station WIFM (what’s in it for me). People hate to be sold but they like to buy. Therefore, show them how they are going to benefit by addressing their need or pain.

4. Find their pain or their motivation: People will join your network marketing business only after you address their unfulfilled needs and wants. The only way to accomplish this is by asking open-ended questions. Find out are the prospect looking for extra income, entrepreneurship, more time with family, or just wants financial freedom.

5. Listen to your prospect: You want to do 80% listening and 20% talking. I see to often when individuals are talking to a prospect they get so excited they begin talking way too much. Talking to much will hurt you in the long run.

Learning these simple techniques for your network marketing recruiting process will allow you to be less stressful and have fun when talking to prospects. My post on personality types will help you tremendously in the recruiting process.

When I decided that I must learn how to generate my own network marketing leads.  Here is the first thing I did… I showed up!  In other words, I was there to take action and do whatever had to be done.  I know it is difficult to be reading articles on how to generate leads for your network marketing business and not knowing where to even start.  I was there!

However, the most important factor you must take is to decide what is important to you.  This is what is going to make us move from being a little person to being a big person.

The problem with so many people is they tend to make so many excuses why they cannot utilize the internet to capture leads for their network marketing business.  Instead of making decisions why they can.  This is most likely the main reason people get frustrated in network marketing business.  They are not taught by their business partners on who to market for leads.

Right now where you at, you know more than you think.  I know you most likely don’t have a clue on how to create webpage, blog, or even don’t like writing.  Guess what… I still don’t know HTML and I’m able to create articles and post them on this site.  You can outsource work to let other people help you out with areas that you might not have a strong attribute.

Bottom line; don’t let your weak areas in life prevent you from capitalizing what is out over the internet.  You don’t have to read another book, listen to another audio, or read all the articles.  All you have to do is show up and take action to begin.

Understand that everything big starts with something little.  Nothing great is created suddenly.  Never decide to do nothing just because you can only do a little.  This type of decisions sometimes seems major but in reality they are only minor.

So what can you do?  What works for you?

Don’t focus on what you cannot do.  Instead, focus on what you are able to do right now.  Everyone who got to where they are had to begin somewhere.

If you are looking at growing your network marketing business online to generate leads.  You don’t have a clue where to start.  Here you go… Start by first registering a domain name.  It is cheap today to register a domain name.  You’ll spend around $9 (US).  When selecting your domain make it so it’s related to what you are going to have on your site.  Are you promoting yourself?  See if your name is available.  Make sure it is a .com this is a great way to begin.  Are you promoting a product?  Select a name that revolves around the product.  Keep the domain short as possible.

This is an example of taking small steps for you to succeed in your network marketing business.  The problem is that we seldom think of what we can make happen, instead, we think of what we lack.

Do you understand…

That 90% of success is just simply showing up and starting.  You may be disappointed if you fail, but you are doomed if you don’t try.  Understand that learning new things won’t help the person who isn’t using what they already know.  Success means doing the best we can with what we have.

This is your chance to make today an important day of your future with your network marketing business.  Step up and step out when you have a chance to do something different or exciting with your life, even if you’re scared.

By taking charge of your future business, it will reward you.  Remember, you live in a world of fear or you live in a world of doers.  And if you want to know where most people are living today, that is in the world of fear.  The window of opportunity is wide open for the individuals that are the doers.

Here’s some of the best advice I’ve been given…

“Do Something!”

Ask yourself: “If I don’t take action now, what will this ultimately cost me?”  Don’t let procrastination steal your success in your network marketing business.
