You ever wish you could find a quick reference list on SEO marketing.

Well, today I want to share with you Do’s and Don’ts for SEO marketing. My goal is to help you receive better ranking and ultimately more leads.

Understand that you don’t have to be a rocket scientist to master SEO marketing. Just get a grasp understanding of the basics. Over time you’ll start to get a little deeper with SEO.

I’m not sure if you realize that just by understanding the basics you are already ahead of the competition.

Take this information that I’m giving you and print it out. By following this list you could never lose in the game of SEO marketing even if the big G changes their algorithm.

Let’s get started!

What to do:

1. Focus on targeting your SEO on local niche or local markets. When you do this you can actually beat some of the “top dogs” even on popular keywords.

2. Build links with relevant blogs or sites.

There are 2 ways to accomplish Link building with relevant sites and blogs.

• Make sure you create rich content and other sites or blog will link to your blog. This creates a one way reciprocal linking.
• Reach out to other blogs that are in your niche by providing them a reciprocal link.

3. Make sure you update your SEO content on a regular basis. Realize that search engines love to see fresh new content.

4. Be bold and test your online marketing SEO ideas. Don’t be afraid of doing this. This is how I learn what works or doesn’t. By doing this step alone you’ll separate yourself from your competitors quickly.

5. Make sure you use some form of web analytic tool. I like to use Google Analytics. This allows you to track the activity on your blog or site. The more data you have about your blog or site. The more you’ll understand what works and doesn’t.

What Not to Do:

1. Do not duplicate another blogs or website copy. Search engines uses spiders to crawl your content to see if your material is duplicate or original. If it detects the material to be copy it will punish your rankings.

2. Do not switch your domains. All search engines love to see longevity on domains. I see this happening at times. Someone starts with a blog for several months and then decides to use another domain.

3. Do not put anyone else material on your blog without asking for permission. Some bloggers will give permission to use their material as long as you provide the credit where the content comes from.

One of the key components of mastering online marketing is not forgetting the fundamentals that work. That is why I like to revisit my basic fundamentals to keep focus.

I know that the average internet marketer is always looking for more traffic.

How great will it be if you had so much traffic that even your worst converting campaign still made you a profit.

I’m going to share with you a way that you’ll be able to increase your traffic. I’ll even say that you probably haven’t even tried it before.

I’m going to chat with you about…video marketing!

I know some folks are shy or afraid of doing a video and putting it out on the internet. What I’m going to cover is the easiest way to do a video marketing regardless if you are camera shy.

Understand that if you are an internet marketer and you start using video marketing you will drive more traffic.

Tools Required

Ok…Here are the tools you’ll need:

• Power Point Presentation
• Microphone
• Video Editing Software (I use Camtasia Studio)

The very first thing you’ll need to accomplish is to make sure your video is about something in your niche. When starting out, make sure it is something simple (for example: Top 3 ways to use Twitter)

Now that you have your topic. Go ahead write a little brief article what your video is going to be on. Then you’ll want to condense it into bullet point items. So you can put them on a power point slide.

Once you have your bullet list on a slide. Now, it’s time to use Video Editing Software.

• CamStudio (is free!)
• Camtasia Studio (you’ll have to buy it)

It’s time to start recording and put a voice over the presentation slides.

It can’t get any more difficult

Now, you have yourself a video to post or distribute. This is the simplest form of doing video marketing. It works and it’s effective.

It should take no more than 30 minutes to accomplish this. Even if it’s your first time.

Once completed just uploaded it to YouTube.  Now you see how simple this video marketing can be.

I hope this shows how simple it is to take advantage of video marketing. The best part is that it will drive traffic to your business blog.

Business owners once you have your business blog up and running one of the goals is to build a list.

Building a list can be challenging at first if you don’t have a proper guideline.

Developing a strategy to build your list will make your project a lot easier.

If you don’t have a strategy or a plan for list building. You are not going to be able to build your list. If you can’t build a list that means your are not going to generate leads.

All you are going to have is a nice blog with great content that you giving away for free.

Let me share with you a simple plan to get your list building strategy going.

1. Know your target audience. By you knowing who you are targeting it is important for your list building strategy. Here is an example: If you are offering a product on list building, you shouldn’t expect to attract people that want information on link building. Make sure your what you are promoting is targeted to build your list quickly.

2. Provide an incentive. By giving your target audience an incentive to subscribe has been an effective strategy.

3. Don’t forget social media. Using social media sites have been a great way to use for list building. You just have to be careful on how you promote your blog or capture site. The key is to provide value to attract subscriber to your blog or site.

Here is one key component that you must apply as soon as you receive that first subscriber…Always maintain contact with the people on your list. You want to build a relationship with your list. You can maintain contact by daily post, offering promotions, or a monthly newsletter.

If you take care of the people on your list. They will take care of you. I know I’m on a lot of lists.

I don’t think a lot of people are taking advantage of what these sites have to offer you.

Here you are as a business owner. You are offering a service or a product. You can get the word out to thousands of untapped audiences by sharing your information.

Understand that social bookmarking sites has not yet hit the mainstream like Social Media sites. So this gives you the advantage as a brand new internet marketer.

Not to mention as a brand new internet marketer you have a huge opportunity to build a great number of backlinks to your blog very quickly.

There are a lot of social bookmarking sites that are available. Some of the most popular ones are Digg, Delicious, and Stumble Upon. Understand that these sites give users the opportunity to use a powerful method of marketing using viral marketing.

What makes it so great to use, readers can use your links that you provide and post them for other readers to enjoy. This create traffic to your blog.

Sites like Digg receives tons of traffic daily. If you submit an article and using keywords properly. You have the potential to receive a great number of traffic very quickly.

Why not share

Let’s say you read some material and it’s not newsworthy. Here is what I’ll say…So what! Go ahead and submit it anyway. You are still creating a backlink for that article. It helps out by receiving more incoming links and search engines love to see this.

Remember, you don’t want to be greedy and only submit your own material. Go ahead and submit other marketers material as well. It doesn’t matter if its a written post, video post, or just pictures. Submit everything!

You see it’s called social bookmarking because it’s social. It’s a community of individuals contributing other sites. That is why it’s important to bookmark other sites that are not yours.

Don’t wait any longer

Ok…hopefully you see the importance why social bookmarking sites will benefit you as a business owner and internet marketer. It’s a great way to receive more traffic, more backlinks, and more readers.

The key here is not just bookmark your own content but others as well. You don’t want to look like you are selfish and self promoting your content. Do you remember the secret I shared with you in my video about generating free online traffic?

Receive  good quality backlinks

When you bookmark good quality material and others see it valuable. It will be viewed, voted, and shared. When your content is being shared it is receiving backlinks. Realize that search engines love this. It will increase your traffic and Alexa ranking.

Provides content research for your business

Social bookmarking sites are design to provide you the reader with content. A lot of times you can find answers to your business. Realize that social bookmarking sites have great valuable information to propel your online presence to another level.

When your information is valuable and it is bookmarked by readers it will provide you with exposure and traffic.

Now, do you see why I say that you can’t ignore social bookmarking?

This is such an overlook area of generating traffic that I hope people will bookmark this content so it will get shared with a lot of individuals. Great place to start is with Digg or by hitting the Digg button on the bottom.

Being in a network marketing business it makes so much sense to incorporate internet marketing into your strategies using article marketing.

Posting articles does plays a very important role in internet marketing. By producing helpful and juicy content it will boost your popularity of your blog and traffic.

Here is a little secret I discover…are you ready! The more personal the article, the more people will respond to it. If the title of the article is catchy it will be more effective. If you write more like you talk the readers will like it. If you sound like a college textbook. You’ll bring back a lot of bad memories of sitting in those boring lecture halls…ZZZzzzz

Know who you want to target, before you start to write your articles. This is important because it keeps you inline.

Here are some quick valuable tips to create a great article:

Keyword research: Know your keyword before you start writing an article. You can use a keyword tracking tool to help you find the right word for your subject. Try to use keywords with high traffic and low competition.

For example: If I was in the Dry Marker Network Marketing Business. Don’t know if one exist or not. Just using this as an example. I’m using the free tool from the big G. I did a search for “Dry Marker” and I discover that.

Dry Erase Expo Markers & Markers Dry Erase had a good search volume with low competition. I know you guys are going to go check it out now just come back and finish reading this post.

Back links: When submitting to article directories place a link in the authors resource box at the end of the article. Don’t just place a link to your site. You want to be creative here.
