As a business owner you hear all the time that it’s all about taking action.

Why is it that some folks that start their online presence within months they are able to create an authoritative blog. D0 you think it’s about their work habit? How about the number of hours they put?

It all boils down to one thing. They take action!

Yes, of course at the beginning you’ll have to develop the work habit. Don’t forget about the hours that you’ll need to put in. Some folks actually think that just positive thinking will get the job done. Let me share with you that positive thinking is good to have but it is only a percentage of achieving online success.

When you start taking action is when you’ll start making an impact in this tough world of internet marketing. By taking action you’ll start to feel better at what you are accomplishing.

It starts in the mind first

Believe me that everything you want to accomplish first has to start in your mind. If you know deep inside your heart that you are going to be the next known internet marketer. You automatically start working and taking action to accomplish it.

I’m going to go over a very powerful statement that is implanted in my subconscious mind. If you believe in yourself that you’ll accomplish whatever goal you set to have with your blog. It will only happen if you take action! Making excuses, procrastination, or flat out laziness will prevent you from having you achieve your goals.

Do you realize that when you say that you are going to do something and it doesn’t get accomplish. You begin to start destroying your self-confidence. Easiest way to build up your self-confidence is by starting off small and working it till you get comfortable. Now, don’t stay in this stage too long.

It’s about the right work

Here is the deal, I don’t care where you are at with your internet presence. I know that with the right amount of work and consistency you will gain a presence. Understand that when I say work I’m not talking about organizing your paperwork or cleaning your desk. That is wasteful work. I’m talking about take action by studying what the successful bloggers are doing and implementing them.

So let me finish by saying that you must take action today!

Go ahead pick up the aluminum bat and step up to the batters mound. I give you permission to start swinging the bat. Eventually you are going to hit the ball and feel really proud that you took action by just stepping up with the bat in your hand.

Let’s look at 3 ways on how you can develop a winning attitude so you can attract an endless amount of leads coming to you.

1) Develop strong belief. You will only have a high traffic blog if you believe you can. If you are telling yourself this and not believing then it will not happen. When you believe it will happen your mind will start to find ways to generate more traffic for your blog.

2) Have passion. When you have a passion in what you are doing. People will senses it because of the energy of your desire. When you set a goal to help other people solved their problems with passion. You will be so busy with business you won’t have time to do anything else but achieve success.

3) Taking a strong hold of communication. I’m not talking about communicating with your audience. I’m talking about communicating with yourself. You must learn on how to take control of your thoughts.

So if you are looking at generating business from internet marketing. Yes, your attitude will have an affect on the outcome of your efforts.

If you take a look at some of the top blog sites from internet marketers. You will immediate see that the owner’s don’t take leadership for granted.

What are you feeding yourself

That is why it’s important if you want to have a success business online you might want to develop some leadership skills. I’m not talking about going back to school to get a degree. I’m talking about developing your skills from leaders like John C. Maxwell or  Stephen Covey.

Believe it or not by developing leadership skills from reading…let’s say Maxwell books it will teach you about how to have a presence. You can take this information and apply it to your online business.

Taking your business to a whole new level

For the individuals out there with an online site. Do you want to take your business to another level?

Do you realize that by developing these skills you learn how to have people being attracted to you.

When building any kind of business if you want to achieve any level of success you will need leadership skills.

Some folks when they hear the word leadership it puts a knot in their stomach.

The good news is that leadership can be a skill that develops over time. Only if you are willing to accept that role.

I’m going to share with you 4 key components of leadership habits that you can start to developing right NOW.

Acquire a clear vision

All leaders know where they are going and what they want to accomplish. If you are not so clear what your goals are that is fine. Just take the remaining of this week to set a simple plan.

Understand that leaders don’t waver from their plan. Now, this doesn’t mean that you cannot make adjustments to your plan. There are times that I have to readjust myself to get back into gear.

You want to find out what drives you and set plans around it. I’ve seen by doing this you will do everything that is possible to achieve them.

Must have PMA

We all know what it stands for! Understand that a strong leader will only speak of positive. I hate to say this but typically the folks that speak negative are losers.

When you speak only positive you will begin to see everything around you align itself of what you are speaking.

People are attracted to positive people. My blog attracts positive people. I attract positive people. I’ll tell you first hand that I will remove myself from any negative people or situations.

When people see that you have a PMA you will gain much more respect as a leader. Understand that I’m not saying that you will avoid doom and gloom. What I’m saying you’ll have such a positive outlook on things that a doom and gloom will not affect you.

Help others achieve their full potential

Leaders help others bring out the best inside of them. I have leaders in my life that are constantly stretching me to another level. Sometimes this stretching does hurt but I don’t question. I hate to stay stagnant. I’m sure if you are reading this you don’t like to stay stagnant either.

If you have people that are working with you in your business. It is important that you connect with them so you can help them bring out the best in them. There are techniques on how to accomplish this.

Continually educate yourself

You never want to stop learning. I’m not saying that you want to become a know it all. But do continue to work on yourself by developing yourself.

There are areas that we all need to work on so we can become even stronger as a leader.

When you make it part of your life to continually work on yourself. You won’t be in a stagnant position. When you want to move forward and only forward it will become a normal part of your life to educate yourself.

When a new person gets started in a network marketing business.

This is usually one of the first question being ask, “What does it take to be a leader?”

Becoming a leader in any business let alone in a network marketing business one must be willing to see themselves as a leader.

Understand that leaders are typically people that are willingly to accept the role as a leader.

What are some of the makings of becoming a leader?

1. Providing Value – When you are seen by other people as someone who provides value by teaching. Your values will be recognize by those who’s lives are being improved. A leader is always giving to help others and it is recognized. People are attracted to those that give and serve.

2. Sense of Value – A leader knows they have self worth. Don’t confuse this with arrogant or cocky. You must put a value to yourself. All leaders carry themselves in a very particular way. You must know that what you have to offer to other people is worth something valuable. When you have a highly self worth others will see how valuable you are as well.

3. Always self-improve – Leaders never stop working on themselves. They are always adding more value to themselves and giving back to others.

If you notice there is a pattern in becoming a leader. You have to become a master of always working on yourself. When you work on yourself you are adding more value to point where people will recognize it.

Remember this when you think you’ve reach the top there is always someone right behind ready to go even further. So don’t stop working on yourself!

So never stop growing and you will never stop leading.

Becoming a leader in your network marketing business requires development. Good news it is not a complicated training process.

However, it does take time to learn it. If you just take look at yourself for a second you’ll realize that is where leadership begins.

The question to ask yourself, can I lead myself before I can lead others?

It all begins by committing to excellence. Whatever you do, you want to be sure to excel at it. I read that Dr. Martin Luther King said, any street sweeper should be so committed to excellence that when they die, they will be remembered as the best street sweeper that ever lived. Are you willing to commit to your business to that level?

This is the secret.

You have to put yourself  and commit to a personal growth development. Take a look at your mental, emotional and spiritual health. How are you doing in these areas? Are you right now personally growing? Or just going with the flow? Are you able to identify your desires and work towards achieving them? At all cost! If not, something is hindering you.

Let go of that bondage once and for all!

If there is any person, personality trait or even handicaps that hinder you form pursuing your goals or dreams, don’t let that hold you back… Starting Now! If your friends or family members are very negative and they are always discouraging you to pursue your goals, get away from them… Immediately! Even if it hurts for a short period.

If your spouse is dragging you down, talk to him or her. You should be able to agree to help each other. After all, that’s what loving each other means, right?

Challenge yourself continually to raise to the next level. Keep reaching for higher goals. If you achieve one goal, don’t stop there…go for the next. Being a leader is a series of learning and a series of challenges that can help you shine.

Why I do…what I do.

Always serve others. You know that feeling of joy and that happiness you get from within your soul whenever you help somebody? Do it daily. Do it always. When you help others, you’d be surprised how others also help you when your turn to need help comes.

Where did I learn this from.

Five years ago, I put myself through a vigorous personal development program. I knew something had to change. And that was ME not my wife. I read more books in 5 years, than I did going from elementary to college. The first book that I read was “Think and Grow Rich” I couldn’t put that book down. That is the book to blame for my personal growth.

If you look at people who are successful in network marketing business, you will find that all of them have one thing in common: They are confident about themselves and what they do.

No, you do not have to be outspoken or assertive about your ideas, but believe in what you can do.

The missing component

Having self-confidence has something to do with knowing yourself and what you are capable of doing. It is hard to be confident about yourself if you’re not even aware of who you are.

If you find yourself always keeping your ideas to yourself and being very self-conscious as to whether other people would like you or not, then perhaps you need to boost your self-confidence some more.

What you can do

So perhaps you’re wondering about how can I achieve my goals by having self-confidence. Well self-confidence enables you to assume responsibility for the fulfillment of the goals you set.

When you are self-confident, you will learn to attribute your success to yourself. This is one of the best forms of self-empowerment, and by having self-confidence, other people will also learn to be confident about you and your work.

Are you a risk taker?

People who do not have self-confidence do not usually take risks, and in reality, successful people do take risks. But in order to achieve your goals, you need to be confident, not overconfident.

While it helps to be optimistic about yourself and your plans, one method on how to achieve your goals is to be realistic as you use what you know to plan on achieving the goals you have set ahead of you.

Just about everyone has set goals. If not, what are you waiting for!

Now, the number one distraction has to be procrastination. This is common among many individuals that are working on their goals.

Sometimes this occurs because of setting unreasonable goals, but most of the times the problem is simply not having enough time.

It is easy to get discouraged when trying to work on a goal. Many times it can seem like it might take too much time to be able to achieve it, such as generating network marketing leads or creating a blog post.

I know it can be difficult to set the time aside to work on goals that might not be recognized for weeks, months, or years when most people have more immediate demands on their time.

Think about goals in terms of how success would impact your life if it happened today can sometimes be just the encouragement a person needs to take action.

For example, instead of just setting a goal of writing a post this week, imagine how good it would make you feel if you already wrote your post today. Imagine how much more impact you just gave someone else that read it, and how great it would feel to open your email and there you have a lead sitting in your inbox. The more real you can make it in your mind, the more you will be able to imagine it really happening.

This type of positive visualization is much more effective than dwelling on a problem. Visualizing the positive effects can be very inspiring and empowering. Even if the goal is quite large, it can seem more achievable if you can visualize the positive effect of achieving the goal.

Once you become truly committed to achieving a goal, try setting some smaller measurable goals that you can work on in pursuit of your larger goal. After all, taking the first step is often the hardest part of achieving any goal.

Here is a questions that pops up often, How can I build a Network Marketing team?

I always answer…being a leader.

Building a team begins with leadership. Do you realize that people aren’t born leaders, they are developed over time. I’m not sure if you caught that…developed over time. I know you heard this before, Leaders are readers and students of the business.

Here is a cool fact…the average millionaire reads one book per month? If you want to become a master in the network marketing industry read one book a month for one year. Can you imagine what will happen to you. What happens when you keep stretching a rubber band. It will never return to it’s original state. Well, the mind operates the same.

Leaders lead each and every day. They are masters of recognition and blaze the way for others to follow and succeed. They face challenges head on, handle confrontation, and never lose their vision. It’s okay to lose focus. We all have done it. But never ever lose your vision.

So how do you become a leader? You speak it! Visualize it! Act like it! Commit to personal development. Your business growth will be a direct reflection of your personal growth.

Develop your leadership skills. Learn to communicate effectively and always remember, it’s not about you. It’s about your prospects and your team members.

Commit to your leaders. Let them know you are committed to their success. Be real, be authentic and be passionate. Learn as much about them as possible. Find out about their family, their concerns, their strengths and weaknesses, their goals, their wants and their commitment.

Remember, partnership goes both way. Make sure they are committed to their success. And let them know you are committed also. Work with those that are working the business and not just talking a game. Help your leaders develop a business plan and action plan.

Be available to your team. Don’t ignore their phone calls. Be a constant source of information. Always take the higher road and never complain in front of someone on your team.

Make a commitment to yourself and to your team. And never, ever quit!
