Do You realize that you will have to go through a learning curve if you want to become a successful blogger.
The last two days I kept the post up regarding the 6 month evaluation mark.
It’s amazing what you’ll learn from your readers. I must say, a BIG THANK YOU!
In case if you miss it I’ll have the link below so you can speak your voice.
Let’s continue so we can focus on how to be a better blogger.
There are a handful of ideas of what not to do for your blogging experience. However, today I want to provide you some ideas that are going to help you.
I want to share with you 5 components that you’ll want to focus so you can have visitors visiting your blog everyday. I know most bloggers are looking for the secret on how to get their blog looked at everyday.
Well consider yourself lucky today because I’m going to share a secret with you…
Understand if you are looking at earning a profit or leads from your blog. You’ll need to have these two within your blog:
- Have an active community
- Build an audience that will follow your blog
Let’s not waste any more time. Since we all know that time is money.
Learn how to build a community around your blog
If you are just starting out with your blog. Learn how to have a friendly personality. You’ll want to interact with your readers. Build a friendly community by encouraging comments.
When you receive comments it is a good practice to reply back to them. This is the start of building a community. It will show that they are important.
Most of the times your readers will be able to add more content to your post with their comments. I like to think of it as I’m giving them a piece of real estate within my blog. It adds more value to the post and other readers.
When possible go ahead and write in advance
Get in the habit of writing often. It is good to have more than one content sitting in draft mode. I know you might not have all the time to create content as you probably would like.
I like to have additional content that is complete for days that I don’t feel like writing. Here is the deal, we all have a busy life and sometimes life just hits you.
When situations happens it is nice to go into your draft folder and pull out that content to publish. It is not cool to leave your readers hanging if you haven’t published anything for a while.
I know you don’t want to lose visitors. So go ahead and write more than one article when you are in the momentum.
Post on a regular basis
Every popular blogs that is online today has to post everyday. Now, if you are wanting to build a momentum posting once a week will not cut it. It will deliver some traffic and sometimes you can lose traffic as well.
If you want to create a loyal reader base. Then you have to create content for at least 3 times a week. Will posting everyday hurt you…Absolutely Not! It will increase your traffic much faster.
Your goal with your blog is to keep traffic coming back and wondering what you are going to deliver next.
The best experience you are going to gain is from your mistakes
Here is the deal…Don’t be afraid to make mistakes! If something doesn’t go the way you plan it. Try to figure out what went wrong or better yet ask other people so you can prevent it from happening again.
If you are running an online business be prepare for mistakes and learn from them. If you don’t take the time to learn from it it will be repeated again.
Ask for feedback and don’t forget to listen
If you don’t listen to your readers. It is like having a valuable piece of real estate sitting vacant. Let me tell you that this is an OUCH! The success of a blog is going to be with your readers.
Go ahead and listen to them! If you are seeing that a lot of readers are asking for something that is a good indication that something needs to be changed. In the next couple of month I’ll be adopting some of the suggestion I’ve received from my evaluation.

Awesome post Josh
I like your real estate reference when discussing how commenters get a stake in your land. That’s why it’s vital to build engaging relationships with your readers. Make blogging buddies and your lot will never be vacant.

The part about commenters adding to the content is golden that is an excellent, excellent tip.

Hi Steve,
The is the best part about people that leave comments. They are able to leave more value to the post. When I write a post there are many times I forget to add stuff and you guys fill in the blanks. It adds more value to the post. It’s a win/win!!!
Have a great weekend!
Hey Josh
Writing post in advance is a good idea. Something which I will be implementing over time.
Another good blogging attribute which should not get left out is your own personality. People like to know more about you (not you whole life story), so give them a story which will create ‘history’ between you and them. If they feel they know you more and like what they know, they will be more attracted to you.

Hi Dwayne,
Writing post in advance helps out a lot. That is an awesome tip you left there my friend. Thanks a lot!!!
Have a great weekend!
Great tips Josh.
I was recently reading a very successful blogger’s comments about blogging success and he said the main reason why most bloggers never make any money is because they regard themselves as bloggers rather than as online business entrepreneurs who use a blog to do business. I guess it’s all in the approach.

Hi Josh,
One of the things I’ve realized is that I don’t really want to be a blogger…
Blogging for me is just one piece of my Internet marketing puzzle. When I have something useful to share, I share it.
But I know there is more than one way to skin a cat!
.-= Derek Alvarez´s last blog ..Free WordPress Sales Letter Template =-.
Hi Derek,
That is great that you’ve created a foundation for your blog. You don’t have to start from scratch. The beauty about internet marketing you have several options to reach out to your audience. Look forward to the content you put out.

Hey Josh,
Doesn’t everybody like a secret?? It’s so true, there is NO secret. And building a community and a regular following of your blog is very important – you’ve done that very successfully. The “secret” to doing that is to be consistent.
Cool Bananas,
Wayne

Hi Wayne,
Being consistent doing the right work will always be better than focusing on the wrong work.
Have a great week!
Interesting stuff Josh
My secret is to help others without any expectations in return.
If I am talking with a prospect I ask questions to find out how I can help them, not sign them up for what I am doing.
If I cannot help them I will will point them to other resources or people who may be able to. And that is the great part of having a community, someone will know.
.-= Peter Fuller MBA´s last blog ..Why I started my own Home Business =-.
Hi Peter,
That is a great philosophy to live by!
Have a great week!
Josh, you surely built some great community around you by posting fantastic content very often and taking the time to answer comments, visit other blogs etc.. Every time I see new posts on my Tribe wall, I always open yours first, cause you really stand out and proved how valuable you are in the community.
So , like Derek wrote, I am not posting very often – when I have something to share I share it, theres another focus in my business right now, but when it comes to successful blogging, you are absolutely right about everything you’ve mentioned above.
I wish you at least a million loyal readers,
keep up great work,
Milena
Hi Milena,
I appreciate loyal readers like yourself. Thank you for the kind words.
Have a great day!
Hi Josh,
What Steve Shoemaker said makes a lot of sense, that is blogging 101.
It seems that every one is busy trying to tell you how to make it better, not how to get it started in the first place.
How to start building a community. How to start getting comments.
Beginnings are important.
Great post,

When you maintain consistent you gain momentum. It’s hard to interrupt momentum when it’s has a strong force.

Ah sometimes the truth hurts, but thank you. I need to blog more often and I know it. I like your thought on catching those moments when the writing is good, to do a little more writing then and prewrite those posts for a really busy time or even the down times.
