I find it difficult sometimes to stay focused through until the end of the blog post. I get distracted, unfocused, and then the post seesm to become off topic.

I write from home and always do so offline. Minimize your distractions. Focused blogging means letting your thoughts flow. When nothing disrupts this flow you will generally write a helpful and entertaining post.
Setting up a specific time to write helps me to focus too.

Focus is highly important.
I kinda have a different method as my time is limited and I have to use all avaliable time as possible.
I write most of my pots cramped on a noise, sweaty train into London.
But I have trained my mind to block out everything around me and type like a mad man on my Blackberry or iPhone.

Great tips. For me, I have to have quiet and no music. Since I work full time, I often sit and write several posts at one time on the weekends and schedule them to be published during the week.

Josh it’s all about focus lot’s of mistakes are made by taking our eye off the ball. It’s no different with blogging anyone else ever hit the publish button instead of the save draft by not paying attention just curious.

Great tips Josh. Fortunately I have trained myself to be very focused. I could write a blog post in the middle of a bull run to be honest. I just block everything out and work towards my goal with total commitment. I never used to be able to do this, I worked at it so I know it’s possible.
