Dofollow Blog

From Monday’s post I received emails via Facebook asking, “How can you tell if the blog is DoFollow or NoFollow?

In case you missed Monday’s post…click here

I do want you to know that by increasing your backlinks it improves your search engine rankings and increases traffic to your blog. One strategy that helps increase traffic flow is by commenting.

Now, early on when I launched this blog I was commenting very often on blogs thinking I was receiving a backlink from it.

Well, guess what…If it’s a NoFollow blog you are not receiving any backlinks.

So, I created this video showing you how to tell if a blog is a NoFollow blog or DoFollow blog…

To Your Success,

Josh Garcia

Before you go, go ahead and share this with you friends on Twitter & Facebook by pressing the 2 little buttons on the top right (blue & green button) :)

While you’re at it, love to connect with you on facebook & twitter

Did this video help you out in identifying a DoFollow blog vs. NoFollow blog?

P.S. Are you ready to take that leap of faith to go to the next level? I’ll ask it again…Are you ready to succeed? Do you know that you were made for more. What you have been reading on all of my post, I have been applying to my life and business. Guess what… I’m getting great results. I’ll be more than happy to share this with you, but I’ll warned you first you must be ready to receive. If you are not ready to receive, it will not work. You hold the key to your success in your business.

If you seriously want to turn your business and life around for not the good, but the best. Fill out your name and contact details in the box below. Lets start creating what you deserve in your life.

Hey Josh,

This is a great follow up post to the last one. It’s funny when I read the last one I was thinking you would get a lot of questions about how to identify these two types of blogs. Well covered Josh. Have an awesome week.

Excellent post Josh.

I have a question for you. I am attempting to make my blog Do Follow but had some difficulties in activating my All In One SEO Plug-in. I was told that was the easiest way to change the code. Do you know of any others plug-ins where I can go in and change the code, because I can’t seem to find the appropriate file in my Cpanel?

Thanks!

Hi Ryan,

Are you installing the ‘Do Follow’ plugin? It should affect at all the ‘All in one SEO’ plugin. Ahhh! I just visited your blog and you are using Disqus as the commenting platform. This plugin will not overwrite the Disqus ‘nofollow’ attribute. Now, you might have to do some searches on forum to see how you can overwrite the ‘nofollow’ attribute on Disqus. I’m not sure how comfortable you feel about getting into the coding of Disqus. You can shoot me an email to discuss this further.

Have a great day!

Peter Fuller MBA July 28, 2010 at 5:05 pm

I like the Disqus system but I ended up dropping it because it is just not compatible with a lot of plugins.

Assuming there is no mod anywhere else for this just open up comments.php and search for nofollow, then remove rel=”nofollow”

You can do this by going into Edit Plugins in WordPress, select Disqus plugin to edit, and then click on comments.php in the right hand side (assuming comments.php is not loaded by default)

The nofollow is on line 12 or 13 so it is easy to find.

There is nothing to be embarrassed. There are plenty of nofollow blogs out there that know about dofollow but still keep it as nofollow. You just happen to be the first commenter on my post so I used it to give you a plug. :)

Hey Josh,
This video is very helpful. I did the check and found out that my blog is nofollow. I have CommentLuv installed, but I assumed the commentator’s link did not have have nofollow attribute, but it does. I will be making some changes.

Doesn’t CommentLuv count toward giving the commentator a back link too?

Great info, Josh!

Take care!

Hi Josh,
Great post. And, that was a nice video tutorial. I am now convinced that my blog is a dofollow blog. Earlier, I read in a site that if you find a nofollow attribute in the source code, then that blog is a nofollow one. And, when I looked up my blog’s source code I could find dozens of nofollow keywords though I was using the wp-dofollow plugin and I was left confused. Your post have cleared out all the clouds regarding that.
