I remember when this blog was first launch. I was reading so many blogging tips.
I wanted to get my hands on every internet marketing strategy available. Learn every way to generate traffic. Because I didn’t have a soul visiting this blog.
But I maintain to stay consistent with one thing…Having daily content available for individuals and can’t forget about the search engines.
The only visitors I was receiving was the ‘bots’ from the search engines.
I know how frustrating it can be when starting a new blog and trying to figure out how to generate traffic.
Today there are more blogs being created on a daily basis. The main reason people are starting to understand the power and purpose of a blog.
If you are a business owner and looking at increasing your leads to create a profit. Having a blog will definitely help your business out.
Where most individuals struggle with is creating top quality articles. Putting together articles at the beginning is challenging. I’m not going to tell you that it was easy for me. But remember this…Content in King!
That is why I put together 3 blogging tips you can use today to have a better blogging experience.
1. Connect with your audience – When you are putting your content together make sure it is speaking to your audience. You want to speak to your target market that you are going after.
It is vital that you must connect with them. It’s simple to know what will happen if you don’t connect. People will not want to visit your blog and having the potential of losing a reader or a lead.
2. Stay consistent on daily post - It’s important at the beginning that you create daily articles. It can be written or videos. I do recommend to do more written articles for SEO purposes.
By having daily post will help your blogging in a huge way. It accomplishes two things. First, creates a pattern for individual to visit your blog daily. Second, the search engines will index your material very quickly.
Understand what you are trying to accomplish is get people in the habit of visiting your blog regularly. So if you write a post daily and stay consistent. You’ll develop loyal readers.
3. Get the word out – Get in the habit of marketing your blog wherever you can. This is important especially if you are just starting out with a blog. The goal is to drive traffic to gain more readers.
There are several ways you can generate traffic to accomplish this. I’ll mention a couple using social media (Twitter & FaceBook), specialty article directories, forums, and visiting other bloggers.
Simply taking action with these three blogging tips will improve your blogging experience. Which will drive more traffic and generate readers. The only way it will not work is if you don’t take action!

Josh,
Connecting with you audience is so critical. If you don’t connect with them via the content i.e. content that they want and content to keep their attention you’ve lost them completely. Great tips.

Great Post Josh,
You’re audience has to have something that they can relate to which is why it’s so critical to find ways to connect with them.

Hi Sherman,
It is very important to connect and speak to your target market when you are posting. I see to many individuals not having a direction when blogging. Thanks for the tip.
Have a great day!
Josh,
Digging all the tips you share daily, I like #3 at aggressively getting the word out about your content, and always developing relationships with new readers
So many people think that content will do it all but just like anything its all about us promoting it and getting word out and having our readers help us

Hi Chris,
It’s fun meeting new readers and building relationship with them. I appreciate you spreading this info.
Have a wonderful day!
Hey Josh,
You are right, you do train your audience. I normally post on Mon, Wed, and Fri., due to the fact I use Tues. and Thurs. for other business building activities and I’ll admit, I’m at the ice rink on those two days also.
One week I decided to post every day and that was the worst week my blog had experienced in quite some time!
It’s strange how followers get acustomed to your habits. If you didn’t blog one day, I would be calling to check up on you to see if you were OK!
Have a great day!

You are correct! I’m use to seeing your post on Mon, Weds, and Fri. If I don’t see something coming from your end. I know something happened.
Have a wonderful day!
Josh,
You are so right on this..
Its so important to provide constant value through posts to our audience..
I admit, I am not posting on a daily basis, but at least I am sharing posts of other great marketers like you
Keep being great,
Milena
Hi Milena,
I appreciate you stopping by and sharing my post!
Have an awesome day!
Hi Josh – Great article! I especially like points 1 and 3. For point #2, you’re right that it can help if you have a lot of content but even if you write every week, you are still being updated quite frequently and I think that is good enough in terms of SEO.
Connecting with your audience on a regular basis is a huge thing and it’s something to strive for!
Cheers,
Tia

Have an awesome day!
Hi Josh,
I like the format of your blogs posts: short, sweet and to the point!
Agreed on your tips. By connecting with your audience they will probably return on a daily basis so long as you continue to provide quality content.
Until I started to promote my blog my readership was stagnant. Get on twitter and FB, promote others and spread the word!

Hi Josh,
I must admit that i don’t post every day which I must do to get more readers and traffic, but as you rightly say, it’s down to the blogger to take action. As always a great post.

If someone doesn’t have the opportunity to post everyday. At least stick to a schedule so you can post one or two a week on constant basis. This will allow you to develop readers and train them as well.

Quality post Josh, so far my weakness has been in the speed of creating content. I just can not seem to create that many blog posts in a month. I realize I need to work up to that goal and other factors can come into play in our lives. The speed will increase as you go though and I am always getting new ideas. Blogging is not an overnight miracle but a vital asset like owning your own house. You can always add to it and improve it.

Hi Robert,
Thanks for stopping by and commenting! I like that analogy, “It’s like owning a home that you can always add and improve on” that is a great attitude. The key Robert, is to do a minimum of one post a week. This starts the momentum to the blog and readers.
Have a wonderful day!
Hi Josh,
Great points as usual! I think I fall short on #3. I really need to work on submitting my own blog posts to Twitter and article directories. I simply get so busy that I completely forget. Not a good thing

All great tips Josh and right on point. It’s so important to connect with people through blogging and give them valuable content they can learn from and use. It’s also key to stay consistent.
