Hi Josh,
I agree on the common mistakes, and the Arabic food too
Posts can’t sound like textbooks. Add some seasoning to them. Write with a little edge. Don’t be afraid of expressing yourself. I held back when a newbie blogger but now am not afraid to speak my mind. Increasing numbers of like-minded people following my blog has been the result.

Hi Ryan,
Arabic food rocks!
That is good to know that you are being yourself when blogging. Being yourself is what attracts loyal readers.
Have a great weekend!
Hi Josh,
I am the world’s biggest procrastinator, but when I have to get it done, I get it done, but I don’t like being a procrastinator..it is not good for my blogging.
I can relate to not promoting myself enough. Sometimes, I just don’t want to look too spammy to people in my stream, but other times I don’t even care. I know I need to promote my blog more.
Blogging isn’t easy…it is hard work. It definitely takes discipline line Jeff mentioned.
Take care!

Hi Evelyn,
What you’ll need to do is set up a schedule for what is the most important task for you. Since you write 5 post a week. Find a way to promote your stuff at minimum 15-30 minutes a day (Social Media is the fastest and least expensive). The ebook that I’m putting together will help you with a plan to promote yourself.
Blogging does take time and discipline.
Have a great weekend!
Josh you knocked it out of the park with this article. I found it to be timely, powerful and to the point. Keep the good stuff coming. I love reading your stuff!

Hey Josh,
Thanks for sharing Jeff’s blogging mistakes post. Thankfully I got all of that under a wrap now. However, some of them took a while for me to make them happen. Once I got there, it was just a matter of continuing on what I had implemented.
I see a lot of people stumble on these though and they wonder why they have no visitors or subscribers.
Anyone who is experiencing issues with their blog should definitely read his post.
Thanks again.
Have a great weekend,

Josh,
That article was a great read.
I was on vacation for a week and a half and didn’t have Internet access.
I was losing it not being able to post to my blog.
It is important to post to your blog at least 2 times a week. I try to do that at a minimum with my schedule.
Hi Tommy,
Welcome back from vacation. Now you are ready to take your business to the next level.
Have a wonderful day!
Josh,
Thanks for addressing this topic of common mistakes bloggers make. Staying focused is extremely important and the most difficult for me. I keep thinking up new ideas and creating new blogs and it is difficult to manage so many.

Hi Carla,
Thanks for stopping by and commenting!
It can get a little distracting when managing multiple blogs. That is when you really need to be discipline with your time.
Have a great day!
Hey Josh – That’s a good list, and especially in corporate blogging the big ones are persistence and clarity. I don’t think most people have any idea where they want their blogs to go. They just wake up one day and decide to start blogging.
That’s okay as long as it gets on track at some point.

Hi Tia,
Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment.
I think most individual start blogging about anything and then realize that blogging is not for them. Those that have a plan from the beginning are the ones that will see success from the work.
Have a great day!
Hey Josh,
That was a great list.
The hardest one for me was getting the headlines right. I’ve drastically improved in that area, but I plan to improve even more.
Enjoy your weekend!

I enjoyed reading all of those tips Josh. One I would like to add especially for beginner bloggers is not to wait till you think your blog is perfect. Just keep working at it and and learn from others who have gone before you and your blog will get better.

That was a great list Josh,
When I first started blogging, my consistency did waiver. It’s easy to get frustrated when you are not getting the results that you want but I hung in there now things are paying off. That is definitely a list that every blog writer should be aware of. I taped it in front of my computer.
