These are some excellent points Josh!

In order to have a popular blog you need to stand out from the rest of the noise on the Internet. The reasons you are giving are what make people, and their blogs, stand out in the crowd.

Thanks for the great post. I can’t wait to see the next 5!

Unique content is the key, in my opinion.

That’s what scares people off when they first think of starting a blog. “What will I talk about?” And the answer is always the same – read successful blogs, analyze them, see where the gap is and how you can fill it.

Great reasons, Josh; I look forward to the rest.

PS You know what occurs to me that most people know what you just said, yet don’t implement it. It’s the hardest this to bridge that gap between knowing and doing, isn’t it?

Hi Josh,

amazing list. I’m alread looking forward to Friday :-)

Whatever we do, it should be authentic (sounds a little over-used, I know) and fit to the personality type of the blog owner and the message that he or she wants to convey.

A great approach of yours is to start your post with the question: What is your GOAL you want to achieve with your blog ?

Thanks for sharing.

Take care

Hi Josh,

Great work my friend. Yes, content, usefulness and uniqueness are very important aspects of blogging. I guess if you want to be popular you’ve got to be prepared to divide opinion and be controversial sometimes. State what you believe in and state it loudly. Bloggers who try to please everybody won’t gain the same popularity.

Looking forward to Friday.
